My journey with yoga, and what Svadhyaya with Rashmi means to me.

Svadhyaya, derived from 'Sva Adhyayana' means learning about the self or a journey towards the self. Svadhyaya means the study of the self : a journey inward, towards greater awareness and understanding. For me, yoga has been part of that journey for many years.

My Healing Story

Yoga came into my life as a source of healing! First as a little girl struggling with severe asthma, and later as a woman navigating loss, motherhood, and life's many transitions. Over time, it became much more than a practice on the mat; it became my way of finding balance, strength, and peace from within.

After spending over a decade in the corporate world, I reached a point where success no longer felt complete without inner calm. Yoga gently guided me through change, teaching me resilience, self-awareness, and the beauty of slowing down. That experience inspired me to dedicate my life to sharing these tools with others who are seeking grounding and harmony amidst the busyness of modern life.

The Essence of My Teaching

Today, I am grateful to guide individuals on their journey of well-being through Yoga, Breathwork, Meditation, and Sound Healing. My sessions are designed as nurturing, inclusive spaces where each person can feel safe to move, rest, and reconnect.

I teach a blend of Classical Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Flow, integrating Pranayama, Meditation, and Sound Baths using Himalayan singing bowls and soothing frequencies. Each class is an invitation to slow down, breathe deeply, and realign with yourself.

My Philosophy

For me, yoga is not about the perfect pose! It's about listening to your physical self honoring your breath, and finding peace in the present moment. It's about living with awareness and gratitude, on and off the mat.

Through every session, I hope to offer what yoga has given me: a sense of balance, belonging, and deep connection to life itself.

My Experience & Training

Over the years, my practice and teaching have evolved through both formal training and the lived experience of sharing yoga with people at different stages of life.

Teaching experience

2500+ hours of teaching across group classes, private sessions, workshops and specialised practices, with students in India, Australia and other parts of the world.

For me, training is not simply a collection of certifications. It is an ongoing journey of learning, and that journey continues to shape the way I teach.

Vision

Yoga, to me, is much more than movement on the mat; it is a way of discovering who we truly are.

My vision is to reach and inspire many through the authentic essence of yoga! To help people experience it in its purest form, to see what I have seen: that yoga and sound healing together can bring profound transformation, nurturing physical and mental health, and spiritual development.

Mission

To guide individuals toward simple, deeply effective yogic and sound healing practices that quiet the mind and trigger the natural self-healing process, thereby building a lasting foundation for good health, peace, and happiness.

Yoga isn't about becoming someone new. It's about coming home... coming to yourself.
